Pregnancy & Title IX

Eligibility for Reasonable Modifications

Students who are pregnant or parenting are eligible for reasonable modifications to ensure equal access to MTC courses, programs, and services. Some examples of reasonable modifications include but are not limited to accessible furniture in the classroom, additional personal protective equipment for labs, bathroom breaks, etc. Modifications are determined on a case by case basis depending on the student's needs and how those needs may change throughout the pregnancy and the program.

Lactation Room Locations

Students, employees, and guests who are lactating can find private lactation rooms, including refrigerators to store lactation products, in Bryson Hall (BR) room 150E and Health Technologies Center (HTC) room 139.

Community Resources and Mental Wellness Support

MTC students who find themselves in need of community resources may work with the Connections Center in Bryson Hall or by emailing connectionscenter@mtc.edu.

Additionally, free 24/7 support and resources are available to MTC students through the Student Assistance Program. For questions about the Student Assistance Program or other mental wellness support, please email Mike Stuckey at stuckeym@mtc.edu.
