Accommodated Exams
Students with a documented disability who are registered with the Disability Services Office may be eligible for testing accommodations for their exams. These include, but are not limited to:
- Extended time (1.5x-2x)
- Reduced distraction or private room
- Test/quiz read aloud
- Alternate formats
- Use of assistive technology
Students registered with Disability Services can login to their Disability Services Student Portal with their MTC login to make accommodated testing appointments at least four business days prior to the exam. Accommodated testing appointments can be managed (created, rescheduled, and cancelled) in the student portal.
If you need to register for Disability Services to request accommodations for a placement test or course exam, please apply online and then schedule an appointment with the Disability Services department to complete your intake.
Please note that MTC cannot determine accommodations for non-MTC course exams, such as the GED, ACT, SAT, state licensure exams, certification exams, USA assessments, etc. Disability Services is able to help students research and find resources on how to apply for accommodations for these type of exams. MTC Disability Services has no control over whether third-party testing agencies grant or deny accommodation requests for their exams.
