Overview

About the program

Successful candidates in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program will obtain the skills required to be employed in both engineering and/or manufacturing or production environments. These technical skills include engineering design, CAD, testing and measurement, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, process evaluation and optimization, materials selection, part fabrication and machining.

Program format(s)

Students enrolled in this program will take traditional, 16-week classes each semester. 

Degree option

Two-year full-time degree schedule; mixture of core engineering, mathematics, CAD, and communications courses; program can be completed on a part-time basis.

Internship

The internship is a 150-hour industry work placement, completed during the last term of the program. It is a required part of the degree. Through this internship, students can earn college credit, make valuable professional contacts, and link their classroom studies to real-world workplace challenges.
