Award Recognition Program
The Awards Recognition Program at Marion Technical College is designed to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding efforts of our faculty, staff, directors, and administrators. Anyone within the MTC Campus Community can submit nominations for any of the five awards. Each award has specific criteria outlined with it, ensuring that the recognition is meaningful and aligned with our core values. Two awards will be presented at the end of the Fall term (Exemplary Service Award – Staff & Exemplary Service Award – Faculty), with three more awarded at the end of the Spring term (Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Leadership Award – Faculty, Innovation, Creativity, and Efficacy Award – Staff, & Marion Technical College Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award). Nominations are open year-round, providing continuous opportunities to highlight the exceptional contributions of our colleagues. By participating in this process, we collectively recognize and reinforce the hard work, innovation, and dedication that drive our institution forward. Exemplary Service Award (Faculty) – Awarded at the end of Fall Semester
The Exemplary Service Award (Faculty) at Marion Technical College is awarded at the end of the Fall Semester to recognize a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional dedication to teaching, mentorship, and service to the college community. This award honors faculty who consistently exceed expectations in their commitment to student success, engage in meaningful service activities and contribute significantly to the advancement of the college’s mission. Recipients of this award embody excellence in education and a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching academic environment.
Exemplary Service Award (Staff) – Awarded at the end of Fall Semester
The Exemplary Service Award (Staff) at Marion Technical College is awarded at the end of the Fall Semester to honor staff members who demonstrate outstanding commitment and dedication to the college's mission. This award recognizes individuals who consistently go above and beyond their regular duties, providing exceptional service, fostering a positive work environment, and significantly contributing to the success and well-being of students, colleagues, and the broader college community.
Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Leadership Award – Awarded at the end of Spring Semester
The Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Leadership Award at Marion Technical College is presented at the end of the Spring Semester to honor a faculty member who exemplifies outstanding teaching practices and demonstrates exceptional leadership within the college community. This award recognizes individuals who not only excel in delivering high-quality education but also serve as influential leaders, guiding and inspiring both students and colleagues. The recipient of this award is a role model of educational excellence, innovation, and dedication to the growth and success of the college.
Innovation, Creativity, and Efficacy Award (Staff) – Awarded at the end of Spring Semester
The Innovation, Creativity, and Efficacy Award (Staff) at Marion Technical College is presented at the end of the Spring Semester to recognize a staff member who exemplifies innovative thinking, creative problem-solving, and effective implementation of new ideas. This award honors those who have made significant contributions by introducing creative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve student outcomes, or enrich the college community. Recipients of this award demonstrate a forward-thinking approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award – Awarded at the end of the Spring Semester
The Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award at Marion Technical College is awarded at the end of the Spring Semester to recognize an adjunct faculty member who has demonstrated exceptional teaching and commitment to student success. This award honors an adjunct instructor who goes above and beyond in delivering high-quality education, engaging students, and contributing to the academic community.
