Amy Miltz, M.Ed.
Biography
Amy Miltz grew up in libraries, developing a love of the written word early in life. A high school journalism student, her first job was as a weekend news reporter for a local radio station in her hometown. Fast forward fourteen years, she enrolled at OSUM as a non-traditional first-generation student studying creative writing, professional publications, and early American literature.
She worked as a newspaper reporter while attending OSUM part-time. After earning her BA in English, she took on editing roles for Glencoe and SRA, divisions of McGraw-Hill’s textbook publishing branch. In 2012, she completed her M. Ed. at Grand Canyon University. Marriage, travel, and raising two wonderful children are a part of the many twists and turns that have led her to the position of Aspire program manager. A heart for non-traditional students and the spirit of an inner cheerleader makes this her dream job. For now, she is focused on finding new ways to bring students into the Aspire program and help them move on to bigger and better things.Education
