Karen McCulloch
Biography
Karen has almost 20 years of experience working as an educational professional for diverse students and in a variety of settings; she has taught toddlers how to dance, middle schoolers how to math, families how to throw a clay pot, and most recently, teens and adults how to take standardized tests with Kaplan Test Prep. No one is more surprised than Karen that she became a teacher. After earning a B.S. in architecture from the University of Virginia, she worked for nonprofits in Washington, DC in administrative roles before moving to central Ohio. In a dramatic turn of events, Karen changed career paths and completed her coursework for Middle Childhood licensure at Ohio Wesleyan and Otterbein University. After teaching for a few years, she accepted a role as the Program Coordinator of The Arts Castle in Delaware and has spent the last ten years with Kaplan.
