Marion Tech Downtown

Marion Technical College Downtown will hold classes for the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy as well as Aspire classes for those studying to get their General Education Equivalency (GED) certificate. The site will also offer custom classes for local employees as well as a Pearson testing site for those getting certifications.

Small businesses just getting started will be able to rent office space at an affordable price as well as get expert advice in the Innovation Center on the second floor.

The Forge small business classes and competitions will be held at the new location. This series of free classes for entrepreneurs and start-up companies culminates in a “Shark Tank”-style competition. Past participants include Attaboys, Ability Vending, the Explore-It-Torium, Jordan Energy Alternative, the Main Squeeze, Painless Fleet Maintenance, and the Sweada Mae Art Café among others. The new incubator builds on that outreach to local entrepreneurs.

MarionMade! will also be housed there to promote local people, products, places, and programs. In addition, Marion Tech hopes the new site will make it more convenient and more welcoming for those unfamiliar with the Marion Campus.

The central location provides great networking for local businesses and leaders.
