Ray Hughes

Biography

For the past 26 years, Ray has been working as an Engineer at Honda.  During his tenure, Ray worked as a Quality Engineer (East Liberty Automotive Plant 1998-2002),  Vehicle Reliability Test Engineer (Honda R&D Americas 2002-2015), North America Power Sports Division Quality Leader (Honda R&D Americas 2015-2017),  Market Quality Senior Technical Advisor (North America Quality Center 2017-2021), North America Market Quality Critical Problem Management Group Leader (North America Quality Center 2022-2023), and most recently, as a Senior Principal Inspection Engineer (Marysville Auto Plant 2023-2024).  At Honda, Ray worked closely with automotive parts suppliers, design team members, and factory engineers to enhance and maintain the brand image of Honda and Acura products in the marketplace.  

Before joining Honda, Ray served 6 years in the United States Nuclear Navy as a Nuclear Engineer (1992-1998) onboard a nuclear-powered Aircraft Carrier (USS George Washington CVN-73).
