The Marion Technical College Foundation is excited to host its first-ever Scholarships
and Stage Lights event to on Friday, Jan. 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the May Pavilion. The
Marion Tech Foundation and Kit Fogle with Merrill Lynch are sponsoring the Chicks
with Hits concert featuring country music legends Terri Clark, Pam Tillis, and Suzy
Bogguss at the Marion Palace Theatre at 7:30 p.m. The evening is sponsored by Kit
Fogle of Merrill Lynch and the Marion Technical College Foundation. 
“This is the first time we’ve done this. The purpose is to make people aware of the
Marion Technical College Foundation and the reason we raise money for scholarships,”
said Mike Stuckey, director of the MTC Foundation.
The Scholarships and Stage Lights event will include fellowship, food, music, and fun. Hors d'oeuvres will be served. A cash bar will be available.

The Marion Technical College Foundation raises funds because, even with Marion Tech’s affordable tuition, the cost can be an obstacle to earning a degree and getting ahead. A number of named funds honor and remember notable community leaders and help tomorrow’s leaders achieve their next degree.
