The Lead.
With 30 teams hitting the links, the annual Marion Tech Foundation Scholarship Golf Outing presented by Fahey Bank raised $48,479. The funds will serve as matching dollars for up to nine new endowed scholarships in the coming year.
Over the past five years, the golf outing has helped generate more than $370,000 in scholarship support for Marion Tech students through its matching fund program.
“We have incredible support from the community,” said Mike Stuckey, director of the foundation.

The Fahey Bank Team
The 61st foundation scholarship in honor of Deputy D. Weston Sherrer continues to grow. Donors have already reached out to form the next 4 scholarships.
“In five years, the golf outing has made a tremendous swing for students,” said Dr. Ryan McCall, president of Marion Tech. “These funds have driven the growth of our scholarship funds.”
