Teresa Parker, Class of 1977 & 1986
Parker is not only a proud alumni of Marion Technical College, but a loyal employee. Parker has worked at the college since she was in college! That is truly commitment to an organization! She has held several jobs throughout the College, but is most recently the Assistant to the President and also one of the faces of our newly found MTC Alumni Association. | Marion Technical College alumni are a diverse group of educated individuals who have significant impact on the local economy and community. Our alumni represent all ages and every sector of the economy – social workers, nurses and health care professionals, police officers, engineers, and business professionals in practically every sector of industry and business. MTC’s new Institutional Advancement Office is designing programs and services to meet the needs and interests of the College’s graduates. This initiative includes increased communication through printed and electronic media and opportunities for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater. | The Marion Technical College Foundation, Inc. was established in 1985 as a non-profit organization to raise funds for student scholarships. Â The Fund is a separate 501(c)(3) organization that accepts gifts of cash, bequests, trusts, annuities, securities, and insurance. |
Building the Future Through Education |
To keep pace with community needs, MTC is building a new Health Technologies Building that will open in the fall of 2010. The College has nearly $3.5 million in State funds for the project, but needs at least $2 million in private support to make the project a reality. This public/private partnership will enable MTC to improve and expand health education programs.
If you have been looking for an opportunity to support higher education, the College is seeking donors and sponsors for the Health Technologies Building Project. Depending on the size of your gift, the building, a classroom, or a sidewalk paver will bear your name.
